In today’s world the “Active Shooter” type scenario is becoming more prevalent. The call of an on-going, shots fired situation inside a structure occupied by a large number of innocent victims can happen in any jurisdiction, at any time, in America. Patrol officers are most likely to be the first responders to these critical incidents. Unfortunately, most patrol officers are not equipped, or as thoroughly trained as SWAT personnel. This course will provide the tactics needed to formulate a plan, and make an immediate entry (if warranted) to stop the deadly threat using the tools available to the patrol officer.
This course is designed specifically for the first responder, but will be useful to any officer that may respond to these critical incidents (Detectives, Supervisors and SWAT members). The techniques taught in this course will be quite different from traditional responses to such incidents.
