

Tim Liess
Tim Liess is a Police Officer with over 15 years Law Enforcement experience, with 10+ years assigned to the SWAT Team. He has participated in hundreds of entries, serving as the Pointman. Liess also served 2 years in the Narcotics Bureau where he worked undercover and was assigned to a raid team. He is an instructor in multiple disciplines including pistol, shotgun, sub-machinegun, assault rifle, CQB, hostage rescue, bus assault, chemical weapons, SWAT tactics, mechanical & ballistic breaching, and active shooter.
Liess recently returned from his second tour-of-duty in Baghdad, Iraq. He was assigned to the Counter-Terrorism Special Operations Forces (CTSOF) as an Instructor / Mentor to the Iraqi Counter-Terrorist Team. He was responsible for advanced training and deployment of the Counter-Terrorist Team on combat missions in, and around, Baghdad. Liess has extensive operational and instructional experience in hostage rescue operations, CQB, urban tactical operations, and weapons.
Liess has served as an instructor at two regional police academies for both basic recruits and advanced police training.
He is a former President of the Michigan Tactical Officers Association, and a member of the National Tactical Officers Association, International Counter-Terrorism Association, International Association of Counter-Terrorism & Security Professionals, American Society for Law Enforcement Training, NRA, and International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors.
Liess is an outstanding instructor with extensive experience in both real-world operations and instructing Police and Special Operations Units / Counter-Terrorist Units both in the USA and abroad.
